Canadian art has long celebrated the landscape, balancing its vast beauty with the cultural experiences that shape our identities. In Urban Planner, I blend this tradition with abstraction, capturing the essence of rural and urban spaces—the rhythms, forms, and energy that make them memorable. Inspired by the organic flow of nature and the structured grids of cities, my work reflects the evolving relationship between natural geography and human-made infrastructure. By recreating the sensations of seeing a city or landscape from above, I hope to evoke the lasting impressions of travel—moments of discovery, familiarity, and connection to the places that shape us.
